Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy covers whitead.digital — the Whitead marketing and corporate site. It does not cover the Whitead Audit SaaS product. If you use audit.whitead.digital, see audit.whitead.digital/privacy for that product's full privacy policy.

Data we collect on this site

On whitead.digital we collect the minimum needed to run the site:

• Language preference — stored in a first-party cookie (whitead-site-lang) so your chosen language persists across visits.
• Theme preference — stored in a first-party cookie (whitead-site-theme) so your chosen dark or light mode persists across visits.
• Analytics — aggregate, anonymous page-view and navigation data via Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Web Analytics, used to understand which pages are useful and where visitors are coming from. For visitors in the EU/EEA/UK, neither tool loads until you accept analytics cookies — if you decline, no analytics scripts run. Outside those regions, analytics may load by default. See the next section for details.

We do not collect account information, payment data, or OAuth tokens on this site — those only exist inside the Audit SaaS product.

EU/EEA users and Consent Mode

For visitors from the EU, EEA, and the United Kingdom, analytics cookies are denied by default using Google's Consent Mode v2. This means no analytics tracking fires until explicit consent is granted. Visitors from outside these regions see analytics enabled by default, consistent with lighter disclosure requirements in those jurisdictions. We determine region from the IP-based country code provided by our hosting platform (Vercel) — the IP address itself is not stored.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties beyond our infrastructure providers (Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Vercel). Ahrefs (Ahrefs Web Analytics) provides aggregate, cookieless website analytics. Analytics data is retained according to Google's default GA4 retention (2 months to 14 months depending on property configuration).
